ha. i laugh when i tell people what i do, in one breath while talking very, very fast: "i manage a team of designers and copywriters for the marketing creative services department for a social media/networking internet start-up in downtown boston." the bewildered looks i get are amusing. what that means is that my team serves all of the creative needs of the company outside of working on the site itself (that's a different team, here, though we do pitch in on occasion.) our work includes putting together ad/sponsorship packages for advertisers, brand creation & usage, print collateral, editing & proofing copy for announcement and contest articles, teaching and spreading creativity throughout the company, and even things like decorating the employee lounge. it's a hard (but fun!) job!
